The Catherine Allison Memorial scholarship is offered annually by the Nova Scotia Music Educators Association.
The scholarship amount is determined annually
AWARD CRITERIA
1. Be a resident of Nova Scotia with at least six (6) years of education in Nova Scotia.
2. Be enrolled at a university or teacher-training institution in a course leading to a degree or certificate in music education. (Bachelor of Education with concentration in Music, or equivalent. Concurrent and Fast Track degrees will also be considered.)
3. Have successfully completed at least one (1) year of said course.
4. Enclose or forward an official transcript of marks from your university.
5. Have the application form submitted by May 30th.
6. Enclose a short essay with your views on music education and your plans regarding participation in the field following completion of courses.
8. Include two reference letters attesting to your character and achievement.
