Summer Study Bursary Application

Five scholarships of $200 each are being offered by the NSMEA. Application is open to any music student attending Grade 12 or under in Nova Scotia. Priority will be given to first time applicants. Bursaries are to be used to defray costs at any summer music camp. The decision of the selection committee will be final.

The application must be accompanied by:

1. A letter written by the applicant indicating your interests in summer study and your specific needs;
2. A letter of recommendation from your music teacher, who is an active member of NSMEA, indicating specific recommendations regarding progress, potential and responsibility. An additional letter from a music teacher who is not a member of NSMEA is also acceptable. Your teacher's name, contact information and if they are an NSMEA member.

Applications must be received no later than May 11.

The successful applicant will be notified before the end of May.
